Simply Serendipity Photography

i would be lying if i didn’t admit that whenever i have the opportunity to photograph a new client i get really nervous and my nerves usually don’t go away until the end of the session.

you just want to make sure that everything is perfect and you get all the shots they were wanting!

i’m happy to welcome this wonderful family to our blog and site! when i announced the virginia spring sessions i was ecstatic that they took advantage of it!

despite the raining day, we made the best of it and i think we got some good shots even with the 2 wiener dogs (which if you know me, you know i’m a sucker for dachshunds!)

okay, what happens when a huge storm comes out of nowhere and completely rains out your photo session???? you find an awesome friend that let’s you move it indoors!

and what happens when you get a wild and crazy family indoors???? you have a fun, candid photo shoot!

janice was the 2nd navy wife i met when i moved to virginia back in 2009. i met her 3 months after i moved there and she introduced me to this crazy craze called thirty-one!

so what happens when you get two navy wives, purses, totes, and bags together??? a blossoming, forever friendship!

imagine walking on a creaky bridge, overgrown brush all around you, bugs biting at places they should never bite, 2 adults, 2 kids, & 2 dogs… what do you get with all of that???

i’m so glad it worked out and we had enough light left to do this shoot.

i think we captured some priceless moments that i know i’ll never forget (and not just because i got bit in places once again you should never get bit!)

it’s hard to believe that 7 months ago i was photographing these two beautiful little girls on one of my last days in virginia.

i can not believe how much they have grown in 7 months! it’s no surprise to anyone that these two little girls are going to be locked in their room until they are 50 years old!

this family will always have a special place in my heart and i hope that one day our paths will cross again.

miles may separate us but the bond of friendship remains the same. enjoy
